Due to the increasingly high COVID-19 cases we have seen in the local community of late, the Multi-Ministry Task Force has announced today that Singapore will be returning to Phase 2 (Heightened Alert) as of Thursday (22 July 2021). This tightening of measures is expected to last till 18 August 2021.
This reversion to Phase 2 (Heightened Alert) means that if we choose to have an on-site service, we cannot have live worship, and our preachers must be masked throughout the sharing of the message. In light of these restrictions and to cater to the worship experience of our larger online audience, CHC will be taking all services and church events exclusively online till national restrictions are eased.
We are thankful that we managed to see some of you with us in church during the resumption of limited on-site services last Saturday. Let’s continue to hold on to God’s promises in His Word, that “those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint” (Is. 40:31).
We are praying and interceding for you, believing that God will protect your households, guard your livelihoods, and provide everything you need in these trying times as you continue to seek first His kingdom purposes in your life.
Most of all, as Pastor Kong has been teaching us in his sermon series on the “Kingdom of God”, let’s be intentional to develop our intimacy with God in the “lonely places” of our daily devotion—to experience a glimpse of all He has in store for us in eternity, even in our present reality!
