CHC in Preparatory Stage of Transition to Endemic COVID-19

17 Aug 2021

Dear Church,

We are thankful that Singapore has now successfully entered its “Preparatory Stage of Transition towards Covid Resilience” through the Ministry of Health’s swift efforts to provide high vaccination coverage to our nation. More than 70% of the Singapore population have been fully vaccinated, and MOH targets to reach 80% in early September.

Accordingly, updated guidelines for religious organisations from the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY) have been released, and we are grateful and happy to announce that City Harvest Church will be able to resume our weekly on-site services at Suntec’s 606 Theatre!

From the weekend of 28-29 August,

  • On-site English services will resume every Saturday (2pm and 5pm)
  • On-site Chinese services will resume every Sunday (10am)

Tickets to these services will be allocated by your Zone Pastors and Pastoral Supervisors. Harvest Kidz and Nursery support will resume in September for our Saturday 5pm service. Online service timings remain unchanged.

Since safety distancing and zoning regulations are still in force, we will be able to contain a maximum of 250 VACCINATED PERSONS in each service.

INFORMATION ON ENTRY REGULATIONS

  1. Entry to our on-site worship services will only be open to “vaccinated individuals” with an allocated e-ticket.

According to MCCY: “An individual is considered vaccinated if he/she has been: a) fully vaccinated, i.e. has received the full regimen of Pfizer-BioNTech/Comirnatry, Moderna or WHO EUL vaccines, with an additional two weeks for the vaccine to be fully effective, b) recovered from COVID-19, or c) has obtained a negative result on a pre-event test (PET) taken in the past 24 hours before the expected end of the event.”

  2. For those who require PET, under MOH guidelines: “Attendees/patrons are required to obtain a valid negative COVID-19 Test Result to participate in the event or activity. The validity of a negative COVID-19 Test result is 24 hours from the time the attendee/patron was registered at the testing premises to take the test. Attendees/Patrons will be permitted for entry if the validity period covers the duration of their visit.”

Results from self-test kits will not be accepted. Please find a comprehensive list of MOH’s guidelines and approved test providers here: moh.gov.sg/covid-19/statistics/pet.
  3. Do note that your Trace Together app will be used to verify your vaccination/PET status to ensure compliance to the above before entry is allowed into the worship premises.

We are so looking forward to worshipping in person with you all again in a few weeks. It is our heartfelt desire to open services up to more church members. As we monitor our nation’s transition to endemic COVID, we will continue to resume more on-site services for your participation, including those on Sunday. Please be patient as we make plans that fulfil all safety measures, so that we can worship as a church and safeguard every person at the same time.

For those of you who are unable to be vaccinated for medical or personal reasons, please know that we are invested in your spiritual well-being too. We hope that you can stay connected with us through our online and social media platforms. As regulations continue to ease, we look forward for you to be able to participate in our on-site services, cell groups or other meetings as well.

CHC, thank you for increasingly growing in the fruit of the Spirit, and as we enter into another season of Church Without Walls, let us bring the power and presence of Christ wherever we can.

In Christ,
The CHC Management Team
