Do you recall any special encounters with God? Did God speak to you about your ministry during the course of this one year?

LCW: Missions! I remember how I was very challenged when we touched on the subject of missions. For the past two years, my church has already been involved in an outreach to Tibet, but I was hungry for God to speak to me even more.

Then, during a conference CHC had with Pastor Ulf, he gave a word to Kong Hee about launching out into missions. What happened subsequently really inspired me as I saw how Kong Hee imparted the vision to the entire congregation and mobilized the whole church to get involved. I didn't just learn the importance of networking with other churches, as with the remarkable ministry relationship between Kong Hee and Pastor Ulf ... I also caught something special in the spirit that day.

RNS: An unforgettable moment for me was during the teaching on the spiritual life of a minister. We were learning about travailing prayer during class that day and when I saw how the lecturer prayed in front of us, how he prayed out of his heart in all earnestness, it really opened up a whole new vision of how an exciting prayer life awaits me each day! What I saw that day "liberated" me from my stoic prayer life ... that picture of the lecturer as he prayed is still etched deeply in my mind. I was very touched. Now I am even more convicted on the need to have a strong personal walk with God, especially in the area of prayer. This is really a prerequisite for anyone who desires to be a minister of God.

What goes through your mind each time you travel back to your home church after your time in Singapore? And what about when you have to return for your next round of lessons?

LCW: I get very charged up and excited each time I leave Singapore because I cannot wait to go back and share what I've learnt from the course. My church is always very excited when I return from Singapore. At the same time, I look forward to come back for classes again. These past eight months, I have had to lean on God for much strength and grace in order to travel the seven hours to and from Singapore.

RNS: Every time I go back to Indonesia, I feel extremely happy and excited. At the same time, I also feel a sense of godly "urgency" because I have witnessed how God is moving so greatly in CHC and I have a great desire for Him to move the same way in my church. When I prepare to fly to Singapore, I always expect great things to happen!

Can you share with us how you have personally grown and benefited from the Pastors' Course these past eight months?

LCW: One way I have truly grown is in the area of my spiritual life. Much of what I've learnt is attributed to the lecturers, who have been a tremendous blessing to us. They have unreservedly given their best to us and have always been an inspiration. My faith has grown as I've realized the importance of feeding the church with nothing but the truth that comes from the Word of God.

More than spiritual aspects, I have been blessed by Kong's openness in allowing us to see how a local church operates administratively as well as spiritually. Through being part of a cell group in CHC and joining their weekend services whenever I'm in Singapore, I've learned how to build a strong spiritual atmosphere. I've also realized the importance of having a strong team as we serve God in the ministry.

RNS: My prayer life has truly changed and strengthened because I've discovered how to get "pregnant" with God's dreams and visions for the ministry He has called me into as a youth pastor. Now, I pray so much more for God's wisdom as I serve in the capacity of a full-time minister. Prayer is truly the key for revival! HT
