SECURITY MINISTRY
The Security ministry is an elite team of sharp, confident and capable men who play an important role in ensuring that services progress smoothly without interruption and disturbance. They help to create a safe and conducive environment for the members and their friends.
The Security ministry volunteers also have other challenging responsibilities, such as escorting pastors and other important guests, such as conference speakers, ambassadors and celebrities, to ensure their safety. They also perform crowd control to maintain orderliness and enable smooth traffic flow. Besides guarding and escorting the church offerings, they also attend to emergency medical situations and other incidents pertaining to security.
This exciting ministry is for you if you are sharp and alert, able to remain calm and composed in any situation, bold to engage people and decisive in problem solving.
Positions Available
Security Trainee
Upon joining the ministry, you will receive structured training sessions as well as on-the-job training on how to provide security coverage at various points around the church premises during services and other meetings, escort church offerings, engage people and perform basic crowd control etc. You will also be trained to develop good interpersonal skills, such as how to be firm and disciplined while always presenting yourself in a polite and approachable way, how to communicate well with people and how to look sharp and confident etc.
Security Personnel
As a Security personnel, you will be able to perform the above functions well without close supervision. You will handle various situations that may arise in the course of duty, such as engaging a suspicious person or a person who is causing a racket in the auditorium during the preaching of the Word etc.
Senior Security Personnel
With your outstanding performance, you will be promoted to senior security personnel and be assigned as an IC of a sector or an operation. You will supervise a group of 10 to 15 security personnel and deploy them to secure the sector and take charge of unexpected situations that may occur, for example, someone who has fainted in the auditorium. You may also be involved in escorting pastors and important guests.
Security Team Leader
You will oversee a team comprising 20 to 60 security personnel and be responsible for the planning and execution of the entire security operation. As a leader, you will actively train your team members to further enhance their effectiveness, and inspire them to give of their best. You will also identify potential leaders and disciple them to become leaders.
