COUNSELING MINISTRY
The counselor is the first person that the new convert or backslider comes into contact
with after taking that bold step to the altar call.
As a result, counselors play an important role during the most significant moment in our
services–the altar call for sinners and backsliders. They stand alongside the person who
has responded and encourage them as they say the "Sinner's Prayer." In the subsequent
weeks, counselors continue to follow up on the progress of these counselees, taking care
to ensure that they are introduced and properly integrated into a cell group. Hence, the
first contact made by the counselor is very important as it often determines whether the
new convert or backslider stays in church.
Faithful people with a genuine compassion for souls are needed for this meaningful

Positions Available
Counselor
As a counselor, you have to go through the counseling materials with those who have responded for the altar call (i.e. the counselee). You will then need to follow up on the counselee for 2 consecutive weeks. The first contact (telephone call) should be made within 24 hours after the counselee has responded.
Team Leader
A team leader is put in charge of 10 to 12 counselors. Apart from the duties delegated to a counselor, the team leader has to collect and review the follow-up reports from his/her respective team.
