Medan Harvest Church is an extension of the congregation at Pancubatu and is now the main branch of the Indonesia Harvest group of churches with over 150 people in its services each week. Together with his wife, Tina, who is also a pastor, this amazing couple runs the entire operations of all three churches—planning cell group structures, organizing prayer meetings and giving Bible studies—in a combined effort to build up a strong local church within their community.
The church conducts regular healing services, weekly Children's Church services, reading classes as well as discipleship and leadership training classes for all its members. Apart from this, the church also helps the community by providing practical help through the Rehabilitation Center for the mentally-ill. To date, there have been over 1,000 people who have been healed through this ministry and its success even caught the attention and approval of the social department of the Indonesian government. Currently, there are 70 people staying in this hostel and receiving treatment. Indonesia Harvest Church also houses a Bible school which began in 2003, a library, and a guest house for special speakers as well as praying caves.
Pastors Johnny and Tina have two children—a daughter named Gaby Joyce and a son, Michael Brena. As a family, they have a desire to continue serving God wholeheartedly and to keep on building up the church of God. |
