Pastor Johnny graduated from City Harvest Bible Training Center and upon his return to Indonesia in 1996; he assumed the position of senior pastor of the congregation in Pancurbatu, which was founded by his father, the late Pastor Stefanus Seragih.
Although the church dwindled in size since his father's passing, Pastor Johnny felt the call of God upon his life toward continuing this ministry. Having just graduated from Bible school at that time, Pastor Johnny sought the advice of Reverend Kong Hee of City Harvest Church (Singapore) who encouraged him in this ministry and helped him in the initial development of the church. As a result, Pancurbatu Harvest Church started to grow and continues to be a strong local church in their community.
This church started with a humble beginning of about 20 people but has now grown to more than 300 people each week in attendance. With more and more people getting saved and discipled, two other branch churches were started in Medan and Binjai City. Since then, Indonesia Harvest Church has grown both in numbers and spiritual strength for the glory of God with more than 500 people in her congregation. Although the three churches are in three separate locations, they move as one church in their desire to make a difference in their city.

Medan Harvest Church is an extension of the congregation at Pancubatu and is now the main branch of the Indonesia Harvest group of churches with over 150 people in its services each week. Together with his wife, Tina, who is also a pastor, this amazing couple runs the entire operations of all three churches—planning cell group structures, organizing prayer meetings and giving Bible studies—in a combined effort to build up a strong local church within their community.
The church conducts regular healing services, weekly Children's Church services, reading classes as well as discipleship and leadership training classes for all its members. Apart from this, the church also helps the community by providing practical help through the Rehabilitation Center for the mentally-ill. To date, there have been over 1,000 people who have been healed through this ministry and its success even caught the attention and approval of the social department of the Indonesian government. Currently, there are 70 people staying in this hostel and receiving treatment. Indonesia Harvest Church also houses a Bible school which began in 2003, a library, and a guest house for special speakers as well as praying caves.
Pastors Johnny and Tina have two children—a daughter named Gaby Joyce and a son, Michael Brena. As a family, they have a desire to continue serving God wholeheartedly and to keep on building up the church of God. |

The church in Binjai City was started in early 2000 to meet the needs of the growing congregation from Pancubatu. The church prayed for almost a year before God answered their prayers and gave them the second storey of a building to conduct their services. In July 2001, they held their first Sunday service to the glory of God. To date, the growing congregation now has 70 adults and 20 children. |
